Hello,
a bit about me:

q_edited.jpg

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology of the University of Idaho. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the Oregon State University and with a Masters in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I did my Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka.

My research primarily focuses on the applications of Behavioral and Experimental Economics in solving economic issues. I have worked on different disciplines using Behavioral Economics approach, per se, consumer food demand studies, behavior of producers, sociology of small and minority entrepreneurs, and conservation and management of ecosystems are among them. I have hands on experience with experiment design, conducting experiments in controlled lab environments, field work with actual producers, designing choice experiments, qualitative survey methodology, focus groups, mouse tracking etc. Apart from that, I am thorough with Econometric Modelling and data analysis with primary and secondary data.

Apart from research, I worked as an instructor of record at the Oregon State University. Also, I worked as a teaching assistant and a research assistant during my graduate studies.  More...

In leisure times I like to do scrapbooking, handmade cards and sewing. Also, I enjoy being in calm and quiet places and listening to the sound of silence in the nature.
